precautions at sonacare during covid-19

We are taking all of the recommended precautions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, in order to protect both our patients and staff. All patients will be screened for COVID-19 using the recommended checklist prior to their appointment.  Please do not attend an appointment if you have respiratory symptoms including fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath.

We are following strict guidelines to protect our patients and staff from the spread of COVID-19. If you are attending the practice, the following measures are currently in place:

• All patients and visitors are required to wear a mask when attending the practice - no exceptions

•  You must check in via the QR code on our door or at reception 

• All patients will be screened prior to their appointment with the recommended COVID-19 screening checklist.   You will have a temperature check on arrival to our clinic, prior to your appointment.

• All medical staff are following the recommended precautions for reducing the spread of COVID-19, including strict handwashing regime, the use of hand sanitizer, and the use of surgical masks./personal protective equipment when indicated.   

• We ask that you attend your appointment alone. We do not allow children to attend the appointment.

• Social distancing guidelines are implemented in our waiting room. Alternatively, we may ask you to wait in your car until the doctor is ready to see you.

• All of our rooms, ultrasound machines and ultrasound probes are cleaned and sterilized  according to the International Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) Safety Committee Position Statement
